One Key Lesson I Learnt On My Yoga Teacher Training
One Key Lesson From My Yoga Teacher Training
This year is turning out to be very polarising! But covid-19 aside, I am incredibly grateful for the first two months of 2020.
On the 30th December 2019 I embarked on an intensive 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India. Followed by a 50 hour Yin yoga teacher training in Goa, India. These 5 weeks taught me so many life lessons that I will carry on with me – I learnt more about myself and how I navigate situations, as well as about others.
My fellow students were the most inspiring, soul-connected people that I’ve ever met. We all became so close, and yet were all very unique beings in our own right.
This is where the lesson comes in for me… That is, before I went on my teacher training I knew that yoga was for everyone (sure!) but during my training I experienced that first hand. I saw how yoga was helping people to heal grief and trauma, find their true voice, trust that voice, trust their body and strengthen their faith. This is why yoga has been practised for centuries.
Yoga is a reflection of nature. We all come to this life with different aims and aspirations yet together we are Whole. Each part, each person is essential and would be missed were it not here.
I take this understanding into my teaching, appreciating everyone’s distinct fulfilment from the practice.
Yoga heals us, even when we are not aware of what we need healing from. If you’re curious to discover your unique connection to this practice, please email or DM me.
